Convicted

Today, Tim Hughes, the chairperson for today's service, went up on stage and said,

'Let's take a moment together to pray for ONE thing we want to see come to past with God's providence. Be it a job opening, or that one person coming to know Christ, or that one family member you want to reach out to. Let's lift these persons and circumstances to God and ask Him to amaze us...'

So I bowed my head, gave a brief thought, and began my prayer with,

'Lord, I desire a first class honours...'

It wasn't long before I felt a twist in my heart as everyone kept in silence and as the band played in the background.

It wasn't long before Tim Hughes was about to end that 3 minute session...

I bowed my head again, gave a brief thought, and ended my prayer with,

'Lord, grant me wisdom, make me whole...'

I stood up with tears swelling in my eyes.

We choose to leave it all behind, and turn our eyes towards the prize ~'Adoration' Brenton Brown~
